Hi! I'm Maria- relationship & clinical psychologist trained in systemic, EFT and narrative therapy, specialising in working with couples, families, groups and individuals in many areas, among which are: health, anxiety, neurodivergence and outside of norm living challenges.
My work is deeply shaped by my own experience as a neurodivergent expat, poly partner and mother. I know how important it is to be met with understanding, warmth, curiosity and compassion, to have someone you can crumble and feel with, who will hold that space for you when you need to be weak and accepted in order to grow.
In my practice, I create an empathetic and a non-judgmental space for all values and life choices, diverse relationship structures, LGBTQA+, neurodivergence including ADHD, anxiety, clients with chronic health conditions, facing infertility & IVF, trauma, eating disorders and other challenges. In my work I see myself as a bridge between body & mind, generations, science & heart as well as cultures.
Counselling with me is a collaborative process- I believe in the power of a practitioner- client relationship that leads to change and growth. Together, we’ll explore patterns, uncover insights, and find practical ways to create meaningful change.
My approach is mostly systemic- I consider not just the individual but the broader context—your relationships, environment, experiences and the language you use- that shape who you are. I value authenticity, genuine compassion and trust. The ethical standards are of utmost importance to me, including strict confidentiality.
What makes the systemic approach different?
The key aspect of the systemic approach is focus on relationships and communication with an end goal to achieve a difference in dynamics and patterns. This unique perspective has lead me to a place of curiosity, looking for strengths and resources instead of deficits in my clients.
Knowledge of the symptom having a function in the system and a holistic view help my clients recognise and learn from the difficulties they experience. I work with family trees, patterns, narrative talks in a systemic approach. With couples I also integrate EFT as a proven modality that helps couples to back from a difficult path within a few sessions*. This approach truly resonates with me professionally and on a personal level making it well integrated and naturally visible through my work and attitude to life.
My approach to counselling is rooted in empathy, inclusivity, and systemic view of the world. I believe that every person has the capacity for growth and transformation. At their own pace. In their own time that is right for them.

Benefits of working with me
My training, professional experience as well as personal touch help to support you through a counsellor- client relationship.
Empirical evidence validates the lasting effectiveness of these counseling techniques, ensuring that the tailored support plans are based on verified information rather than anecdotal successes. Counseling brings many mental wellness advantages and is a safe place to talk about your feelings and thoughts. You learn more about yourself and your role in the world. This leads to emotional well-being and reaching your own personal goals.
*I am trained in psychotherapy in Poland but offer counselling in Berlin & online.
I am working towards a full recognition to join the German health care system.
Until then I only provide counselling and psychological support.
I take part in a regular supervision and lead or take part in in-person intervision in Berlin.
